Intensive Butoh Dance Workshop

Dancing as a prayer. Giving to your artistic performances the power of symbols and images. 

Over two days, we will celebrate the Circles of Life through the practice of Butoh dance Ritual Performance by movement research. On this path we aim to expand motor possibilities and body self-awareness to deeper layers of presence, as well as to larger, dynamic and integrated systems of movement.

By aligning the experience of conscious movement with the authentic landscape of each body, we aim to cultivate an original, physically sustainable, and profoundly internal process, where individual autonomy serves as the central methodological axis for the development of movement, dance, performative compositions and solo ritual performances.

Participation is open to all levels: basic Butoh dance techniques as well as intermediate training and advanced composition practices will be shared.

Goals:

1. Foster autonomy in creative processes.
2. Deepen body awareness through Butoh dance techniques and movement research.
3. Integrate ritualistic elements into contemporary artistic practices.
4. Build a ritual performance

Target audience: All those who seek to deepen their physical, artistic and existential practices, as well as dancers, actors, amateur and professional performers.

Workshop will be held in English.
